Founded in 2000, SRG is a family-owned, hospitality group
shaping Sydney's dining scene.
At SRG, we’ve always believed dining is about more than food. It’s about Sydney — its harbours, its neighbourhoods, its people — and creating places that feel welcoming, lived-in, and unforgettable.
What began in 2000 with Aqua, opened by Bill and Kathleen Drakopoulos, has grown into a family of restaurants that reflect the city we love. More than twenty years later, SRG is still family-run, now led by their four children — Anastasia, Nicola, Daniel, and Perry.
Hospitality, for us, is deeply personal. It’s in the way we welcome you, the care in every detail, and the memories you take with you. This is what drives us, and it’s why we do what we do.
January 2026 marks 25 years of SRG, one of Sydney’s most recognisable hospitality families and the team behind some of the city’s most beloved dining institutions. What began with a single waterside venue has grown into a 17-venue portfolio spanning iconic harbourfront destinations, neighbourhood favourites, and a distinctly European sensibility shaped by the Greek hospitality they were raised on, with seven new openings on the horizon before the end of 2026. The film features voices from across the SRG family, sharing what these 25 years have meant to them.
